According to their name these cats live in Siberia mostly, though years ago they could also be found in northern China and Korea. For the last years these animals are disappearing and a lot of them are kept in zoos. There are less than 200 species left in the wild, and about 250 felines are contained in zoos. Today, they are suffering a massive onslaught of poachers, who kill them for body parts and pelts that are widely used in Asiatic medicines.
