Many facts about the siberian tiger will include farm information and photo files. By age of 6 months, the young can hunt medium-sized game. They become fully independent at 18 months old, and reach full puberty at 3-4 years old. Males grow larger than females, but females mature earlier. These animals are not monogamous and males do not take part in raising the young. Males start to breed when they are four or five years old. These cats live in the wild about 10-17 years and in zoos they usually live longer: about 16-20 years. These are territorial cats and they occupy the territory about 10-30 square miles. These cats like to hunt alone and they are solitary animals. They meet when the mating period comes and females first breed after they are three years old. Females breed every two years and up to the age of ten. Cubs are born after the gestation period of 103 days, and they are born totally blind and helpless. They feed on their mother’s milk until they are 6-8 weeks old, and then start feeding on meat brought by the mother.
