Adaptation Siberian Tiger

As for adaptation, siberian tiger is OK in zoos where people take many photos, yet in the wild, it suffers from constantly expanding farms. Like other cats, they also mark their territory by spraying bushes and trees with a special mixture of urine and scent gland secretions. They also mark trees by scratching them and there are no two identical scratches, just like people have no identical fingerprints. By the smell of urine, males can identify females in heat, and do not follow unreceptive females. Mating takes place in winter; like all felines, they are polygamous. Males do not participate in rearing the cubs, and females do not let them approach them. Usually, grown ups like to live alone and only females live with their cubs and that is mainly because it is easier for a solitary animal to hunt and surprise its prey. However, sometimes, they gather in groups when there is a lot of food and can share a large kill. Normally, they prefer not to trespass on each other’s territories, and fights are not common among them. They rarely attack humans, and any idea of them being ‘merciless man-eaters’ is a misconception. These magnificent cats are tottering on the brink of extinction. As for adaptation, siberian tiger is OK in zoos where people take many photos, yet in the wild, it suffers from constantly expanding farms.
